About

My name is Dr. Ankit Desai. I am a PharmD from UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in Chapel Hill, NC. While in pharmacy school I was very fascinated by the drug research & development process. Being able to take lectures and classes to understand the clinical trial design and regulatory process allowed me to have the appreciation of R&D process on a global scale. As a result, I wanted to find the intersection between life sciences and business.

I started studying and exploring the fundamentals of small cap biotechnology companies developing innovative products. It is sometimes fascinating to see how does the small cap biotechnology company work both financially and fundamentally when it is not generating any revenues. How do they raise capital? Fund pipeline innovations? and ultimately find cure for diseases. These are the question I am still trying to understand and explore.

I have a passion for analyzing innovative drug candidates in late stage clinical trials which has an unmet need and innovative to allow for a paradigm shift. Along with analyzing publicly traded biotechnology/pharmaceutical companies in their valuation, I try to find investment opportunities in these small cap biotechnology companies.

Dr. Shruti Desai who is also a PharmD Graduate from Wingate University is an essential part of this A6 Research Group .Since mid-2010, We have been involved in analyzing and understanding the biotechnology therapeutic landscape. We are planning on publishing some of our analysis on a public domain to allow others like myself who are interested in learning about the biotechnology and healthcare landscape. In addition, Dr. Shruti Desai will also publish her blog time to time which will focus more on Chronic Kidney disease and Oncology.

In addition, I will be able to interact and communicate with various individuals who shares similar interests and passion. All the opinions expressed on this website are solely my own opinions.
